It is powered by a single 120 kW electric motor, providing a top speed of 40 km/h and a range of 300 km according to the NEDC. The minibus is designed to recognize lane markings, traffic lights, signs, pedestrians, and other vehicles, ensuring seamless navigation through complex urban traffic scenarios.
WeRide’s partnership with Yutong Group has been crucial in the development and production of the Robobus. Yutong Group, known for its expertise in bus manufacturing, invested 200 million USD in the production of the autonomous buses. In fact, Yutong’s Xiaoyu 2.0 model, also created in collaboration with WeRide, was awarded the prestigious 2021 Red Dot Award for its design.
