Walmart Inc. has recently unveiled a groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) tool that aims to enhance the shopping experience for its customers. The tool, accessible through the Walmart app on Apple’s iOS mobile operating system, allows users to search for products based on specific use cases, rather than searching for one item at a time. By leveraging large language models, including the Azure OpenAI Service from Microsoft Corp., Walmart’s AI tool offers a more convenient and efficient way for customers to find the products they need. For instance, if a customer is planning a football watch party, they can simply input their requirements, and the tool will generate suggestions for chips, wings, drinks, and even a widescreen TV.
