The system will also track the violation history of each vehicle and generate reports accordingly.
The ITMS will address various traffic violations, including speeding, riding without a helmet, driving without a seatbelt, and talking on the phone while driving. Other issues that will be tackled include driving in the wrong lane, buses not following designated lanes, and private vehicles parked on roads. The ITMS will use AI and deep learning technologies to detect traffic violations and provide insights to traffic planners through innovative dashboards.
The ANPR software system will capture license plate details and vehicle categories. It will store this information in the system database and categorize license plates as readable, partially readable, broken, or without numbers. Using image processing algorithms, the system will convert license plates into text strings with a minimum detection accuracy of 95% and a conversion accuracy of 90%. The ITMS will also provide a dashboard for users to view captured vehicles based on various filters such as date, time, location, vehicle category, and license plate category.
