Waymo One Tour offers exclusive access to autonomous rides in Los Angeles

Waymo, the Alphabet-owned division focused on autonomous vehicles, is launching the Waymo One Tour in Los Angeles. This tour will provide early access tickets to individuals in Los Angeles, allowing them to experience fully autonomous rides with Waymo One. The tour will be conducted in six different neighborhoods in Los Angeles, including Santa Monica, Century City, West Hollywood, Mid City, Koreatown, and Downtown LA.

To participate in the Waymo One Tour, individuals can join the waitlist online or through the Waymo One mobile app for Android and iOS. They can also attend pop-up events held in local spots throughout LA to obtain early access tickets. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Waymo and interact with brand ambassadors to address any questions they may have about the service.

Waymo has already seen success in Santa Monica, where they distributed over 1,000 early access tickets for one week and provided thousands of trips to passengers. Notable statistics from the Santa Monica launch include more than a thousand trips used for dining and shopping, with 27% of all trips occurring between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Passengers gave Waymo One a positive rating, with an average of 4.69 stars.

By extending Waymo One to Los Angeles, Waymo aims to compete with ride-hailing services like Lyft and Uber. Currently available in Phoenix and San Francisco, Waymo One’s expansion into LA is part of its larger strategy to provide autonomous transportation services in major cities across the United States. As Waymo continues to refine its technology, the Waymo One Tour offers a unique opportunity for Los Angeles residents to experience the future of transportation firsthand.
