Nvidia Unveils Powerful RTX 40 Series GPUs at CES 2024

Nvidia has just made a splash at CES 2024 by announcing its highly anticipated RTX 40 series graphics processing units (GPUs). This new lineup includes the RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and RTX 4070 Super, all of which aim to deliver impressive performance gains compared to their predecessors. Notably, Nvidia is positioning these GPUs as direct competitors to AMD’s more affordable high-end graphics cards.

The flagship RTX 4080 Super, priced at $999, is set to hit the market on January 31st. It claims to be twice as fast as the 3080 Ti when utilizing DLSS 3 Frame Generation in gaming applications. While exact specifications have not been fully revealed, leaked information suggests that the RTX 4080 Super will feature 10,240 CUDA cores, faster clock speeds, and 23 Gbps memory.

Launching on January 24th, the RTX 4070 Ti Super comes with a price tag of $799. It receives a significant upgrade with 16GB of memory, surpassing the 12GB found in its predecessor and bringing it closer to AMD’s Radeon 7900 XT’s 20GB VRAM. On the other hand, the RTX 4070 Super, set to be released on January 17th at $599, is targeting a wider range of buyers due to its competitive pricing. Nvidia claims that this GPU has 20 percent more cores than the original RTX 4070, making it faster than an RTX 3090 in terms of performance while consuming less power.

These new offerings from Nvidia have been strategically priced to provide attractive alternatives to AMD’s Radeon 7900 XTX and XT, which launched at $999 and $899, respectively, a year ago. By offering more accessible options, such as the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4090, priced at $1,199 and $1,599, Nvidia aims to capture the attention of high-end GPU buyers.

With its latest lineup at CES 2024, Nvidia demonstrates its commitment to driving GPU technology forward, specifically in the field of AI-enhanced gaming and applications. While the tech community eagerly anticipates more detailed specifications, Nvidia’s new Super GPUs are expected to leave a significant impact on the high-performance graphics card market.
