AMD Unveils New Line of Budget and Mainstream Gaming CPUs at CES 2024

AMD has recently announced its latest lineup of budget and mainstream gaming Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs at CES 2024. Aimed at providing a simple upgrade path for existing AMD users or those looking to build a cost-effective AM4 socket gaming PC, these new processors offer impressive performance at competitive prices.

One of the standout CPUs in the new lineup is the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, which features AMD’s innovative 3D V-Cache technology renowned for its exceptional gaming performance. Although it shares similarities with the popular Ryzen 7 5800X3D, including 8 cores and 16 threads, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D boasts a slightly lower 4.1 GHz Max Boost and a 3.0 GHz Base clock speed. Priced at $249 USD, this budget-friendly CPU is set to rival Intel’s Core i5 13600K while delivering improved gaming performance.

For budget-conscious gamers, AMD offers the Ryzen 7 5700, another 8-core processor priced competitively at $175 USD. Although it lacks the 3D V-Cache technology found in the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, it still provides a solid gaming experience and comes bundled with an AMD Wraith Spire cooler.

In addition to these offerings, AMD introduced the new 6-core Ryzen 5 5600GT ($140 USD) and Ryzen 5 5500GT ($125 USD). These CPUs are equipped with built-in Radeon graphics, making them ideal choices for budget gamers and mini PCs.

AMD plans to release the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 5 5600GT, and Ryzen 5 5500GT for AM4 on January 31, 2024. With their impressive performance and affordable price tags, these new CPUs are expected to garner significant attention from gamers and PC enthusiasts alike.
