Microsoft Launches AI Odyssey to Empower Developers in India

Microsoft is pioneering an exciting new initiative called AI Odyssey, aimed at equipping 100,000 developers in India with the necessary skills and knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI). The program, which spans a month, is open to all AI enthusiasts, regardless of their background or expertise in the industry.

Interested participants can register for free on aka.ms/AIOdyssey to gain access to a wealth of online learning modules and resources. The curriculum contains two levels, both of which need to be completed by January 31, 2024.

The first level of the course focuses on demonstrating how Azure AI services can be effectively utilized to build and deploy innovative AI products and solutions for a variety of use-cases. Through the use of code samples and comprehensive guides, participants will develop their practical skills to create impactful AI applications.

Upon completing the first level, participants progress to the second level, where they will undergo an online assessment consisting of interactive lab tasks. Successfully completing this assessment will earn developers Microsoft Applied Skills credentials, further validating their competence and creativity in the realm of AI.

Irina Ghose, the Managing Director of Microsoft India, shared her enthusiasm for the program, stating, “AI is the future of innovation, and India is leading the way with its tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential will help developers showcase their expertise in the most sought-after AI skills and scenarios. We invite all developers to join us in creating meaningful AI solutions that will contribute to India’s economy.”

For those who successfully complete both levels of AI Odyssey, there is an exciting opportunity to win a VIP Pass to attend the highly-anticipated Microsoft AI Tour in Bangalore, scheduled for February 8, 2024.

Microsoft’s AI Odyssey stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to fostering technological innovation and empowering developers in India to harness the power of AI for real-world applications. Through this initiative, Microsoft is paving the way for India to become a global leader in AI-driven solutions.
