New Nvidia RTX 40-Series Super GPUs: Competitive Pricing and Enhanced Performance

Nvidia is set to release three RTX 40-series Super GPUs on Monday, offering gamers a combination of competitive pricing and enhanced performance. While previous leaks have provided details about the specifications, the pricing has been a major unknown factor. Concerns have been raised regarding the expensive nature of the existing RTX 40-series cards. However, Nvidia seems to be addressing these concerns by competitively pricing the Super GPUs, which should be welcomed by gamers.

According to leaked information from an Nvidia employee, the pricing for the Super GPUs has been revealed. The RTX 4080 Super is rumored to be priced at $999, a $200 reduction from the original card. This places it on par with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, offering a compelling option for big-budget gamers since the RTX 4090 is no longer available at the recommended retail price. Although the Super version is expected to deliver only a small performance boost of around 5%, the attractive pricing makes it an appealing choice for gamers.

Interestingly, the strategy for the remaining two GPUs in the lineup focuses on providing significantly more performance at the same price. The RTX 4070 Ti Super and 4070 Super are rumored to have the same pricing as their existing counterparts, $799 and $599 respectively. However, both GPUs are expected to receive notable upgrades. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will feature 16GB of memory and a spec bump, resulting in an overall 15% performance increase. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Super will maintain its 12GB of memory but receive around 20% more CUDA cores. Additionally, the original card will have its price reduced to $549, putting pressure on AMD’s $499 RX 7800 XTX.

The combination of competitive pricing and performance enhancements is expected to make Nvidia’s Super GPUs a desirable option for gamers. Furthermore, if these rumors hold true, it may address the criticisms related to Nvidia’s pricing strategy for the 40-series GPUs. In response, AMD might also consider price adjustments to maintain its competitive edge. Ultimately, this competition benefits gamers as they receive better value for their investments. Stay tuned for the official announcement on Monday to see how this unfolds.
