While the study on AI adoption brings positive news for the UK, it also reveals a divide between the country’s outlook on the global economy and its own prospects. UK chief executives are optimistic about global economic improvement, with 61% expecting it to improve this year, compared to only 39% who expect the same for the UK economy.
The opening ceremony of the WEF saw the presentation of the annual crystal awards to architect and educator Diébédo Francis Kéré, actor Michelle Yeoh, and musician Nile Rodgers. These individuals were recognized for their leadership and contributions to sustainable development, raising awareness for various causes, and fighting injustice and inequality.
