Newly Launched GPT Store by OpenAI Offers Custom User-Built Bots

OpenAI, the Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence company, has recently unveiled the GPT Store, which provides a platform for users to access a diverse range of GPTs (Generative Pre-trained Transformers) developed by both OpenAI and its partners and community members. This new store includes GPTs related to programming, writing, education, and other categories. Additionally, GPTs built by OpenAI themselves are also available on the platform.

To complement the launch of the GPT Store, OpenAI has introduced the ChatGPT Team service. This service offers a collaborative workspace for teams, allowing them to utilize the power of GPT-4, Dall-E 3, and other tools. Access to the GPT Store is provided to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise customers, with advanced capabilities to manage GPT usage for Team and Enterprise users.

OpenAI has plans to reward creators of custom ChatGPT bots through a revenue program based on user engagement. This program, set to go live in the first quarter of this year initially available to users in the U.S., aims to incentivize the development of innovative and useful GPTs.

OpenAI has been a significant player in the conversational AI landscape since the public release of ChatGPT in late 2022. The software has gained popularity and rapidly accumulated a user base. Notably, the Wikimedia Foundation reported that ChatGPT’s Wikipedia page attracted more attention than any other English article on their platform last year.

In addition to the GPT Store and ChatGPT, OpenAI offers various other tools and an application programming interface (API) to further enhance the capabilities of their AI solutions.

Furthermore, recent reports suggest that OpenAI’s revenue for 2023 exceeded $1.6 billion. Despite the temporary departure of CEO Sam Altman, who has since returned to the company, OpenAI continues to make strides in the field of artificial intelligence and remains at the forefront of cutting-edge technology development.
