Infosys Acquires Semiconductor Design Firm InSemi, Strengthening R&D Capabilities

InSemi, founded in 2013 by Shreekanth Sampigethaya and Arup Dash, specializes in providing comprehensive semiconductor design services, with expertise spanning electronic design, platform design, automation, embedded systems, and software technologies. The company boasts a talented team of over 900 design specialists.

Dinesh R, EVP and co-delivery head at Infosys, emphasized the importance of this acquisition in the context of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart devices, 5G, electric vehicles, and beyond. He stated that the demand for next-generation semiconductor design services integrated with embedded systems creates unique opportunities for growth. InSemi’s expertise in this field aligns perfectly with Infosys’ goals.
