New Robotic Restaurant Set to Revolutionize Dining Experience in Pasadena

In a groundbreaking move, the world’s first fully autonomous restaurant is about to open its doors in Pasadena. CaliExpress by Flippy is set to revolutionize the dining experience by incorporating cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence into every aspect of its operation.

At the heart of this innovative establishment is Flippy, the world’s first AI-powered robotic fry station. Using advanced robotics and cameras, Flippy expertly cooks crispy french fries to perfection. With its precise movements and ability to monitor the frying process, customers can expect piping hot fries every time.

Ryan Sinnet, spokesperson for Miso Robotics, the creators of Flippy, believes that this development is a game changer for the industry. “Instead of relying on a team of six to twelve employees during the rush, we only need two or maybe three, even in high capacity locations,” says Sinnet.

However, it’s not just in the kitchen where technology shines. CaliExpress’s order kiosks are equipped with facial recognition technology, allowing the restaurant to provide a personalized experience for each customer. Tony Lomelino, representative of PopID, the company behind the facial recognition system, explains that it analyzes various facial landmarks such as the eyes, nose, mouth, and chin to identify customers and recall their preferences and payment details.

While the menu at CaliExpress by Flippy offers traditional favorites like hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and fries, the innovative technology implementation is set to transform the dining experience for customers.

The restaurant, located at 561 E. Green St. in downtown Pasadena, is currently in demo mode, awaiting the necessary permits to operate fully. As the restaurant industry embraces the future of robotics and AI, CaliExpress by Flippy is leading the way in creating a seamless dining experience that merges technology and gastronomy like never before.
