AI Ethics Expert with Impressive Credentials Arrested for Tragic Crime

A highly accomplished individual in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and ethics has become the subject of a shocking incident. Suchana Seth, a 39-year-old woman from Bengaluru, has been arrested for the murder of her four-year-old son in Candolim. Despite her exceptional qualifications and extensive experience, she allegedly committed this heinous act.

Suchana Seth’s LinkedIn profile reveals an impressive CV, featuring fellowships and positions at renowned international institutes. She is an alumna of Harvard University’s Berkman Klein centre and has also worked as a Mozilla fellow at Data & Society. Along with being a polyglot proficient in multiple languages, she holds a postgraduate diploma in Sanskrit from the prestigious Ramkrishna Mission, where she achieved top honors.

As the founder and CEO of Mindful AI Lab, Suchana is recognized as an AI ethics expert and data scientist with over 12 years of mentoring experience in data science teams. Her expertise revolves around scaling machine learning solutions, primarily in startup environments and industry research labs. Harvard’s Berkman Klein centre describes her as a leading figure in operationalizing ethical machine learning and AI within the industry.

Notable achievements in Suchana’s career include a research fellowship at the esteemed Raman Research Institute. The profile also suggests that she holds patents in natural language processing. Previously, she worked as a senior analyst specializing in statistics at Geschickten Biosciences, where she employed data mining techniques to explore the connection between protein binding and gene expression data. Furthermore, her contributions have led to her recognition in the ‘100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics’ list.

However, Suchana’s personal life seems to be marked by strife. Originally from West Bengal, she married Venkat Raman, a Keralite, in 2010, and they welcomed their son in 2019. Eventually, the couple separated, filing for divorce. Sadly, their relationship’s deterioration culminated in the tragic death of their child. Suchana attempted to conceal the body by stuffing it in a bag and intended to transport it to Bengaluru in a taxi.

While Suchana’s professional accomplishments are undeniable, this distressing incident spotlights the complexities of human behavior and the fragility of mental health. It serves as a stark reminder that even individuals with exemplary credentials can face personal challenges that may have devastating consequences.
