A joint initiative by the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) and NASSCOM is providing a diverse selection of over 80 courses on artificial intelligence (AI) to equip individuals with the necessary skills for success in today’s competitive job market. These courses, available for free or as paid options, can be easily accessed on the Future Skill Prime’s website.
To ensure a streamlined navigation and selection process, the website features a “Trending Courses & Pathway” segment where visitors can refine their preferences based on various categories, including domain, course provider, NASSCOM certification, content type, eligibility for government incentives, delivery mode, and payment type. Additionally, users can sort their choices based on duration and cost, creating a tailored and user-friendly experience.
The comprehensive catalogue of courses covers a wide range of emerging technologies, including AI, big data analytics, blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, web and mobile development, virtual reality, and more. The list of course providers includes major industry leaders like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, AWS, and Cisco.
For example, Google offers a beginner-friendly training series called “Google Cloud Generative AI,” consisting of ten courses that provide technical expertise in areas such as Large Language Models, Responsible AI, Image Generation, and Transformer Models. This course is available for free.
Microsoft contributes to the AI domain with two courses: Data Analyst Associate (DA-100) and Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900), both available at no cost. The Data Analyst Associate course lasts for 18 hours, while the Azure AI Fundamentals course has a duration of approximately 9 hours.
Some of the AI courses offered under this initiative are eligible for government incentives, allowing individuals to potentially earn up to Rs 14,500. Eligible beneficiaries include IT employees in IT and non-IT firms, officials of PSUs and autonomous bodies, non-IT employees seeking to explore emerging technologies, central and state government employees, employees with outdated job roles or those who are currently unemployed, as well as fresh recruits, interns, and apprentices.
The aim of the Future Skill Prime initiative is to make learning accessible to all and enhance the skills of India’s workforce in emerging technologies, fostering a revolution in upskilling. With the involvement of over 80 corporates, 50 content partners, over 200 institutes, and more than 300 courses in the domains of emerging technologies, this collaboration between the government and the industry promises a wide array of opportunities for individuals to thrive in the rapidly evolving job market.
