Goa police officials reported that Seth had checked into a hotel in Goa state on Saturday, but her son was missing when she checked out on Monday night. Hotel cleaning staff discovered bloodstains in Seth’s room and alerted the police. When Seth’s luggage was inspected, her child’s lifeless body was found. The child was later buried in Bengaluru.
