Intel Presents Cutting-Edge 14th Gen CPUs at CES 2024

Intel Showcases New AI-Focused Processors at CES 2024

Intel made a striking appearance at CES 2024, where it unveiled its highly anticipated 14th Gen CPU lineup for both mobile and desktop PCs. This remarkable display comes shortly after the release of Intel’s AI-focused Core Ultra chips in December.

Among the highlights of the 14th Gen processors are the HX-series mobile processors designed specifically for gamers and content creators. Additionally, Intel introduced the Series 1 family, catering to thin-and-light mobile systems.

Taking a leap from the previous 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs, the 14th Gen processors for notebooks are led by the powerful Intel Core i9-14900HX. Boasting an impressive 24 cores (eight Performance-cores, 16 Efficiency-cores) and 32 threads, with a turbo frequency reaching up to 5.8 GHz, this flagship chipset is built to deliver exceptional performance for high-performance enthusiast laptops.

Intel claims a substantial 17% improvement in gaming performance in comparison to AMD’s Ryzen 9 7945X3D, as well as a remarkable 51% boost in multitasking performance when compared to the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX. The HX-series also introduces processors with 50% more E-cores, such as the Intel Core i7-14700HX.

In addition to its impressive performance capabilities, the new HX family supports up to an astounding 192GB of DDR5 memory and comes packed with advanced connectivity options, including Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5.3. Intel expects the market to be flooded with over 60 laptops equipped with the Intel Core 14th Gen HX processors this year alone.

On the desktop front, Intel introduced 18 new 14th Gen processors, including the Core i9-14900. These processors, available in 65-watt and 35-watt power levels, promise up to 37% faster multi-thread performance and 7% better Microsoft Office performance compared to the previous generation. The flagship Core i9-14900 features 24 cores, while the Core i7-14700 has 20 cores.

Furthermore, Intel presented the Series 1 family of mobile processors, led by the Intel Core 7 processor 150U, which caters to thin-and-light devices. These processors, with up to 10 cores and 12 threads, boast turbo frequencies of up to 5.4 GHz and support up to 96GB of total DDR5/DDR4 memory. Expect these devices powered by Intel Core U Series 1 processors to hit the market in Q1 2024.

In conclusion, Intel’s showcase at CES 2024 has undoubtedly enthralled tech enthusiasts with their latest 14th Gen CPU lineup, promising exceptional performance for both mobile and desktop PCs.
