Microsoft to Train 100,000 Indian Developers in AI Technologies

Microsoft has unveiled an ambitious initiative aimed at providing AI training to 100,000 developers in India. The program, known as AI Odyssey, offers a comprehensive learning experience for developers to acquire and demonstrate the necessary skills needed to execute AI projects aligned with business goals.

India, being at the forefront of tech talent, requires a skilled workforce capable of leveraging AI to solve complex problems and create value. Microsoft recognizes this need and aims to provide opportunities for developers to build solutions that contribute to India’s growth.

Interested developers can register on aka.ms/AIOdyssey to access learning modules and resources. The program is open to all AI enthusiasts in India, regardless of their experience or background. Participants have until January 31, 2024, to complete the two program levels.

The first level focuses on teaching developers how to utilize Azure AI services in creating and deploying AI solutions for various scenarios. Through this level, participants gain access to valuable resources, code samples, and guides to enhance their practical AI skills.

Once the first level is complete, participants are challenged to showcase their AI skills by completing an online assessment with interactive lab tasks. Successful completion earns them Microsoft Applied Skills credentials, a verifiable credential that validates their ability to solve real-world problems with AI.

The program’s participants who complete both levels of challenges stand a chance to win VIP passes to the Microsoft AI Tour, taking place on February 8, 2024, in Bangalore. The AI Tour is an exclusive event that highlights the transformative impact of generative AI on creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Attendees can engage in keynote sessions, demos, and workshops, learning from Microsoft experts, partners, and peers.

Irina Ghose, the managing director of Microsoft India, emphasized the importance of AI in driving innovation and praised India’s tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential is seen as a means for developers to showcase their competence and creativity in the most in-demand AI skills and scenarios.

Join Microsoft in this endeavor to develop meaningful AI solutions that will contribute to India’s economy and shape the future of technology.
