Lenovo Launches New Lineup of Consumer Laptops with AI Capabilities

Lenovo recently unveiled its updated lineup of consumer laptops at CES 2024, showcasing its focus on AI integration. Among the newly introduced models are the Yoga Pro 9i and Yoga 9i 2-in-1.

Both the 2024 Yoga Pro 9i and Yoga 9i 2-in-1 maintain their military-spec rating for durability, while also receiving a significant upgrade to the latest Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” processors. This includes options ranging from Intel Core Ultra 5 / 7 / 9 H Series in the Pro 9i to Intel Evo Edition powered by Core Ultra 7 in the Yoga 9i 2-in-1.

Highlighting the growing trend at CES, Lenovo emphasizes the AI capabilities of its new laptops. The Yoga Pro 9i and 9i 2-in-1 feature a dedicated Lenovo AI Core Chip that powers onboard artificial intelligence. Additionally, both models include a Windows Copilot button on their keyboards, specifically designed by Microsoft.

Lenovo also introduces the Yoga Creator Zone, an AI-powered image creation suite, with these new laptops. This generative AI technology allows users to create captivating artwork without the need for external hardware or browsing to online platforms such as Midjourney or DALLE-3. Furthermore, laptops equipped with discrete graphics cards can train personalized AI models to mimic the user’s artistic style.

The Yoga Pro 9i boasts a 16-inch, 3.2K display with an IPS or mini LED panel, up to a GeForce 4070 Laptop GPU, 64GB of RAM, and 1TB storage. Other notable features include a 5MP webcam with AI-powered auto-framing software and six advanced bass speakers. The starting price for the Yoga Pro 9i is $1,700, and it is expected to launch in April.

The updated Yoga 9i 2-in-1 features a 14-inch screen in either PureSight OLED 2.8K or 4K OLED tech. It comes with a 360-degree rotating soundbar equipped with four Bowers & Wilkins speakers and a magnetically attached Slim pen. The starting price for the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 is $1,450, and it is set to be available in April.

Lenovo also introduces the Lenovo Book 9i, a unique dual-screen folding laptop. It will come with the latest Intel Core Ultra chips, a PureSight OLED 2.8K screen, and a rotating B&W soundbar. The starting price for the Lenovo Book 9i is $2,000, and it is expected to launch in April.

In addition to these flagship models, Lenovo showcases the IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1, available in both 16-inch and 14-inch form factors. The larger 16-inch variant starts at $810, while the 14-inch model starts at $760. Both laptops will be released in April and feature OLED screens with up to 400 nits brightness and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Finally, Lenovo updates its Slim 7i and Pro 7 models, which now support Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processors, RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, and PureSight Pro LCD or OLED 3K displays. The Slim 7i is priced from $1,050, while the Pro 7 starts at $1,350.

Through its latest laptop lineup, Lenovo showcases its commitment to integrating AI capabilities into consumer devices, providing users with enhanced performance and innovative features.
