Intuition Robotics has revealed its latest generation social robot, ElliQ 3.0, at CES. The upgraded robot features hardware and software improvements, including a deeper integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to provide an enhanced user experience.
One noticeable change is ElliQ’s new look. The hardware has been modified to meet increasing demand and manufacturing processes, resulting in a 1.3 pounds weight reduction and a 36% smaller footprint. Additionally, the previous removable tablet screen has been replaced with a fully integrated screen for improved functionality. These modifications aim to make the robot simpler and easier to handle for seniors.
Under the hood, ElliQ 3.0 boasts an octa-core System-on-Chip (SoC), a built-in AI processing unit (APU), and 33% more RAM, enabling smoother operation and faster response times.
The conversational capabilities of ElliQ have also been enhanced through deeper integration of generative AI via its Relationship Orchestration Engine. This enables the robot to make real-time decisions, engage in scripted and generative AI conversations, and remember user preferences such as favorite colors, pet names, or religious beliefs.

Furthermore, ElliQ 3.0 introduces synchronized games, starting with Bingo, allowing users to participate in real-time gaming experiences with other adults. This new feature aims to enhance interactivity and entertainment for seniors.
