Woman Arrested for Murdering Toddler Son

Summary: A woman has been arrested for the murder of her four-year-old son in Goa. Suchana Seth, the CEO of an artificial intelligence startup in Bengaluru, was apprehended by the Goa police in collaboration with the Karnataka police. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation. The child’s body was discovered in Seth’s bag, raising suspicion and prompting the authorities to take immediate action.

Seth had checked into a hotel in North Goa’s Candolim on January 6, accompanied by her son. However, she checked out alone on Monday, requesting a taxi to Bengaluru. Despite the hotel staff’s suggestion to take a flight, Seth insisted on traveling by road.

Concern arose when the hotel staff noticed blood stains in Seth’s room after she left. They promptly informed the Goa police, who then contacted Seth via the taxi driver to inquire about the whereabouts of her son. Seth claimed that her son was with a friend, but the provided address turned out to be fake.

Following further investigation, the police communicated with the taxi driver in Konkani and instructed him to divert to the nearest police station. The driver complied and immediately headed to a police station in Chitradurga. There, Seth was detained, and her son’s lifeless body was discovered in her luggage.

Seth has been transported back to Goa for further questioning as the investigation continues. The motive behind this tragic incident and any potential factors contributing to it are yet to be determined.
