Holmes County Chamber Expands Membership Benefits with Social Media and Special Events

The Holmes County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau is launching new initiatives to enhance the benefits and opportunities available to its members. Executive Director Tiffany Gerber, along with other Chamber representatives, recently presented information on upcoming programs for the year.

Social media is a key focus for the Chamber, as it offers a valuable platform for members to promote their businesses and engage with their target audience. The Chamber’s social media channels provide members with the opportunity to increase their followers and gain greater visibility. However, some members may miss out on important updates and notifications due to email blockers on their systems. The Chamber encourages members to check their settings and ensure they are not blocking any communications.

Additionally, the Chamber has partnered with Placer.Ai, a location analytics company that specializes in studying foot traffic for businesses and events. Placer.Ai provides detailed information on visit trends, trade areas, demographics, and audience profiles. Beginning in February, paid members will have the opportunity to request a traffic report from Placer.Ai, providing them with valuable insights to inform their business strategies.

In addition to social media benefits, the Chamber also organizes several special events throughout the year. These events include an annual sporting clay shoot in May, a golf outing in July, and an awards and recognition banquet in November. Last year’s golf outing was a great success, despite a thunderstorm, and the Chamber aims to build on that momentum this year. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses wishing to support these events, and members are encouraged to join committees and become ambassadors to contribute to the organization and success of these gatherings.

The recent meeting took place at the Gardens at Homestead Furniture, a local establishment that offers unique furnishings and decor. Following the business meeting, members were treated to a special tour of the Abner Henry Met Collection, located in a dedicated wing of Homestead Furniture. The Chamber continues to provide its members with valuable resources, networking opportunities, and memorable experiences that contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Holmes County business community.
