AMD has recently unveiled four new additions to its Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, signaling the company’s dedication to the AM4 socket that was first introduced in 2016. The release of these new processors is slated for January 31, showcasing AMD’s commitment to expanding their product lineup and meeting the demands of different market segments.
Leading the lineup is the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU that boasts a base clock of 3.0 GHz and a boost clock of 4.1 GHz. This processor is equipped with an impressive total cache of 100MB and a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 105W. It shares several similarities with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, including a high clock speed, although the 5700X3D is priced at a more affordable $249.
The Ryzen 7 5700, priced at $175, also features an 8-core configuration. However, it does not incorporate the 3D V-Cache and operates on the “Cezanne” architecture. This model comes with a higher base clock of 3.7 GHz and does not have PCIe Gen4 support or integrated Radeon GPU capabilities.
AMD has also introduced two models in the Ryzen 5000GT series, targeting budget-conscious consumers. The Ryzen 5 5600GT, priced at $140, is a 6-core CPU that offers a boost clock of up to 4.6 GHz and a base clock of 3.6 GHz. Similarly, the Ryzen 5 5500GT, priced at $125, is also a 6-core CPU with a boost clock of up to 4.4 GHz and a base clock of 3.6 GHz.
All four CPUs will be available for purchase starting from January 31, expanding the versatility of the AM4 platform and providing consumers with a wider range of options. These new processors further solidify AMD’s position in the market and showcase their commitment to delivering high-performance CPUs at various price points.
