Acer Expands GPU Lineup with New Radeon-Based Graphics Cards

Acer, a relatively new player in the graphics card market, is rapidly growing its offerings. The company has announced the launch of four new Radeon-based graphics cards, including one featuring AMD’s latest Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU.

The first addition to Acer’s lineup is the Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC. This card takes advantage of the Navi 33 GPU found in the Radeon RX 7600, with an increased boost clock of 2760 MHz and double the amount of GDDR6 memory, from 8GB to 16GB. Equipped with dual Nitro FrostBlade cooling fans and a reinforced copper base plate, this 2.5-slot card effectively dissipates heat. It also offers one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 connectors.

Moving up in performance, Acer introduces the Nitro Radeon RX 7700 XT OC and the Nitro Radeon RX 7800 XT OC. These cards utilize the Navi 32 GPU, offering game/boost clocks of 2,276 MHz/2,599 MHz and 2,254 MHz/2,565 MHz, respectively. Both variants feature a monochromatic shroud, two Nitro FrostBlade fans for efficient cooling, and the same 2.5-slot design as the Nitro 7600 XT OC.

For those seeking the flagship model, Acer presents the Predator Radeon RX 7800 XT OC. Like the Nitro version, it also features the Navi 32 GPU with similar game and boost clocks. However, Acer has made significant upgrades to the cooling system, incorporating triple Predator FrostBlade 3.0 fans and a vapor chamber to prevent GPU throttling. With its 3-slot design, this card ensures optimal cooling performance.

All four new Radeon RX 7000-Series cards from Acer are set to launch in February. While pricing details for the Nitro Radeon RX 7600 XT OC have not been announced, the Nitro Radeon RX 7700 XT OC and 7800 XT OC will be available at $459.99 and $509.99, respectively. The flagship Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 7800 XT OC will retail for $549.99.

As of now, there is no information regarding future flagship offerings from Acer based on the Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX. Acer originally entered the graphics card market in September 2022 with Arc-based cards, including the Predator BiFrost lineup featuring Intel’s flagship Arc A770 GPU. The company later expanded its range by introducing cards based on the Arc A550 and also incorporating AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 GPU.
