NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER: A Game-Changing Entry-Level GPU

Reports have emerged showcasing the leaked benchmark results of NVIDIA’s highly anticipated GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU. With performance levels almost on par with the RTX 4070 Ti, the RTX 4070 SUPER is set to revolutionize the entry-level market.

Offering tough competition to AMD’s Radeon RX 7800 XT, which targets the 1440P+ segment, the RTX 4070 SUPER boasts 16 GB of VRAM and a price point that remains competitive against its rivals. The GPU upgrade aims to deliver performance levels close to that of the RTX 4070 Ti, providing a superior gaming experience at an affordable price.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to come in two configurations: the AD104-350 or AD103-175 SKU (PG141 SKU 335). Both variants will feature 7,168 cores and 48 MB of L2 cache. The GPU will also maintain the 12 GB GDDR6X memory and a 192-bit bus interface, but will have a slightly higher TBP of 220W compared to the existing RTX 4070.

In terms of performance, the RTX 4070 SUPER is predicted to outperform the RTX 4070 Non-SUPER by approximately 14%. Additionally, the graphics card will feature the new CEM 5.1 Gen5 power connector, offering potential for enhanced power delivery.

Benchmarks suggest that the RTX 4070 SUPER performs impressively in both OpenCL and CUDA tests. In the OpenCL tests, the GPU scored 195,384 points, surpassing the RX 7900 XTX and falling just 5.5% short of the RTX 4070 Ti. In the CUDA tests, the RTX 4070 SUPER delivered 98% of the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti, showcasing its remarkable capabilities.

Although synthetic benchmarks provide a glimpse of the GPU’s potential, real-world gaming performance may yield different outcomes. However, it is clear that the RTX 4070 SUPER offers a significant performance improvement compared to its non-SUPER counterpart.

With its competitive performance and attractive pricing, the upcoming RTX 4070 SUPER is poised to be a surprise hit in the market. NVIDIA is scheduled to unveil the GPU next week at its CES 2024 “Special Address,” generating further anticipation in the gaming community. Stay tuned for more updates on this game-changing entry-level GPU.
