Nvidia Teases Upcoming 4000 Super Series GPUs, Performance Leaks

Tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this month, as companies begin to tease their upcoming products. Nvidia, a prominent player in the tech industry, has recently released a new Facebook cover photo to generate excitement for its highly anticipated 4000 Super series GPUs.

This introduction of the Super series is a departure from Nvidia’s usual product launch cycle, which began with the 2000 series. Similar to the previous refresh, the new cards are expected to offer more VRAM to address the concern raised by the tech press about insufficient memory buffer at the current price points.

With the official announcement just a few days away, Nvidia and its AIB partners are currently testing the GPUs. As a result, performance details of the RTX 4070 Super have now been leaked. Benchleaks, a user/bot on Geekbench, reported two entries featuring the GPU.

The RTX 4070 Super was tested on both OpenCL and CUDA, scoring 195,384 and 219,237 points respectively. While these scores do not directly reflect the 3D rasterization or ray tracing performance, they provide a valuable insight into the compute capabilities of the graphics card.

Comparing the leaked benchmarks courtesy of Wccftech, the RTX 4070 Super appears to be positioned between the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4070 Ti, aligning with the rumored specifications of the GPUs. Unfortunately, we cannot gauge its performance against AMD cards based on these numbers. Additional leaked benchmarks or the official reviews will shed light on how the RTX 4070 Super compares to its competitors.

As we eagerly await Nvidia’s official announcement, the leaked performance details give us a promising glimpse into the power and potential of the upcoming 4000 Super series GPUs.
