Uttar Pradesh Allocates Funds for State-of-the-Art Security Measures at Ram Temple

Uttar Pradesh, India, is set to invest Rs 90 crore into advanced security equipment and infrastructure, including futuristic Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, to ensure maximum safety at the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. This expenditure aims to prevent any potential threats or intrusions during the event.

The security measures will include crash-rated bollards, designed to protect high-value buildings from vehicular attacks, as well as under-vehicle scanners and boom barriers. The deployment of AI surveillance systems will further enhance the level of security.

To guarantee the safety of those attending the ceremony, the state will deploy 15,000 personnel, including 26 companies of paramilitary and provincial armed constabulary, as well as the Anti-Terror Squad and Special Task Force teams. Collaboration with central intelligence agencies and the Uttar Pradesh Police is already underway to coordinate a detailed security plan for Ayodhya, the temple town.

Significant investment has also been made in state-of-the-art equipment, such as CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, crash-rated bollards, bulletproof vehicles, bulletproof jackets, anti-drone systems, night vision devices, and an integrated command and control system. Furthermore, the state has purchased vehicles worth Rs 1.02 crore for security personnel.

According to Prashant Kumar, the director general of Law and Order, the state government has allocated Rs 90 crore for the purchase and installation of security equipment at the temple. He assured that the security measures will be regularly reviewed and improved if necessary.

Once the security equipment is installed by the Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, it will assist in preventing any intrusion attempts at the temple. Boom barriers, bollards, and tire killers have been positioned at all entrances to the Ram temple. Additionally, multiple CCTV cameras have been strategically installed, and a command and control center has been established to monitor and store the feed for up to three months.

As part of the security measures, the state government has also allocated Rs 5 crore for a Special Task Force unit and 16 teams of ATS Special Police Operation Teams in Ayodhya. The budget also includes Rs 5 crore for the construction of the STF unit building. Additionally, funds of Rs 1.44 crore have been allocated for firefighting equipment within the temple premises.

Furthermore, water police personnel will be deployed along the river Saryu to ensure the safety of devotees at the Ghats in the temple town. They have been equipped with various riverine equipment, including boats, engines, throw balls, lifebuoy rings, life jackets, rescue tubes, and dragon lights, worth Rs 2.84 crore.

The state of Uttar Pradesh is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the security and safety of the devotees and the temple during the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. A comprehensive and state-of-the-art security system has been put in place, incorporating the latest technology and equipment to deter any threats and provide peace of mind to all attendees.
