AMD Ryzen 8000 Processors Set to Debut with Ryzen 5 8500G APU

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is gearing up to launch its highly-anticipated Ryzen 8000 processors this year, with the G-Series APUs being the first on the lineup. The Ryzen 5 8500G, an entry-level offering, will provide gamers with high-performance integrated graphics, making it an exciting option to consider.

The benchmark leak of the Ryzen 5 8500G on Geekbench 5 was first spotted by Twitter user @Olrak29. The leak revealed the processor’s synthetic CPU performance results, showcasing a single-core score of 1965 pts and a multi-core score of 8768 pts. Additionally, detailed specifications of the Ryzen 5 8500G were also unveiled.

According to the Geekbench results, the Ryzen 5 8500G is equipped with 6 cores and 12 threads, boasting a maximum CPU frequency of 4999MHz, which translates to a boost clock speed of 5.0GHz. The base clock was mentioned at 3.55 GHz, and the processor was tested with 32GB of memory on a Maxsun B650M motherboard. Users can look forward to AMD’s AM5 motherboards (A620, B650, X670) supporting the new Ryzen 8000G processors.
