A significant advancement has been made in the healthcare sector of the Volgograd region with the introduction of state-of-the-art mobile diagnostic systems. These innovative systems, equipped with advanced artificial intelligence services, have been deployed in various central district hospitals (ЦРБ). Last year, a total of 33 complexes were installed in paramedic and obstetric centers across the region.
The mobile diagnostic systems, known as “Digital FAP,” serve a crucial role in providing high-quality medical assistance and facilitating initial stage medical examinations. These new systems are now operational in multiple healthcare facilities, such as Alexeevskaya, Nikolaevskaya Serafimovichskaya, Rudnyanskaya, Danilovskaya, Kikvidzenskaya, Dubovskaya, Uryupinskaya, Sredneakhtubinskaya, Leninskaya, Zhirnovskaya, Elanskaya, and Ilovlinskaya central district hospitals, as well as in City Hospital No. 1 in Kamyshin.
Since the beginning of 2024, over 10,000 individuals have undergone diagnostics using these mobile hardware-software complexes. The majority of examinations were conducted at Sredneakhtubinskaya ЦРБ, Uryupinskaya ЦРБ, and Alexeevskaya ЦРБ. Additionally, in 2023, mobile teams conducted medical examinations for 98.9 thousand residents of remote areas, emphasizing the role of “Digital FAP” in ensuring access to specialized healthcare in even the most isolated regions.
The “Digital FAP” comprises diagnostic equipment packed into a compact case for safe transportation and storage, connected to the internet and AI services. The basic set of the system includes an electrocardiograph, sphygmomanometer, blood and urine analyzer, and a pulse oximeter—all of which are authorized by the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor). The equipment seamlessly integrates with medical information systems (MIS and RMIS) to support healthcare decision-making.
Director of Product Department at SberMedII, Elena Sokolova, highlighted that the complex covers up to 80% of screenings during the initial stage of medical examinations and screening procedures. The utilization of mobile diagnostic equipment and AI-based services in primary healthcare settings reduces the risks of disease development, aids in the early detection of serious illnesses, prevents complications, and diminishes mortality rates.
