Semantic Web
The Semantic Web is an extension of the World Wide Web that aims to make internet data machine-readable by providing a common framework that allows data to be shared and reused across applications, enterprises, and communities. It is built on standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which include technologies like Resource Description Framework (RDF), Web Ontology Language (OWL), and SPARQL for querying data. The Semantic Web enables the integration of data from diverse sources, enhancing the ability of machines to understand, process, and interpret information contextually. This facilitates more intelligent search engines, improved data discovery, and richer user experiences by enabling applications to not only display information but also infer relationships and meanings from data. The ultimate goal of the Semantic Web is to create a more interconnected and intelligent internet, where information can be linked in a way that is meaningful and useful for both humans and machines.
